The diverse collection of papers in the track offered an insight into the significant role and value of design in an area traditionally dominated by health sciences. Divided into three distinct themes/sessions, a total of 15 papers explore various aspects of health and wellbeing, namely health by design, health management, healthcare applications and medical devices. Over 150 delegates attended the three sessions.

The track also presented the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3 "Good Health and Well-Being for People "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages" and highlighted that there is a need to understand the role of design and promote a more cohesive strategy to tackle the Sustainable Development Goals.
